    Looking to work for a premier company with quality service and Class A Buildings? Experienced in Building Engineering and managing building controls? Then this could be the job for YOU Large national commercial building developer and owner is seeking a Chief Engineer for a new state of the art downtown office building. Position will be mentoring a team member, along with with working with other external vendors. Position manages all building operations and systems for close to 200,000 square feet of space within a Class A Office Building, with bottom floor retail spaces.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Managing fire, life and safety programs
    • Responding to tenant concerns or dispatching day porter/assistant engineer
    • Speaking with tenants face to face to understand their needs
    • Mentoring and training staff
    • Responding to various mechanical, electrical and plumbing issues with cooling towers, HVAC equipment, boilers, sprinkler systems, various switch boards and coolers, temperature control units, condenser systems for water and gas, etc.
    • Establishing and managing building budgets
    • Building out preventative maintenance plans and schedules
    • Speaking with vendors for TI and Construction CapEx projects
    • Reviewing blue prints
    • Preparing Excel spreadsheets for reporting on various expenditures for utilities and building costs
    • Maintaining employee files for any team members
    • Selecting vendors and managing vendor relations
    • Working with vendors on various projects, and following up
    • Tracking work order status
    • Communicating with Property Managers and team
    • Ensuring landscaping is well kept
    • Reviewing proposals for vendors to select vendors, alongside the Property Manager
    • Assisting with specialty projects

    Special Skills:

    • Ability to work well with others
    • Strong people skills

    Must Have:

    • 8+ years of Building Engineer experience - Class A Office required
    • Ability to work on automated systems
    • Strong knowledge in building systems management
    • CFC Certification
    • Fire, Life and Safety experience
    • Ability to work with external vendors
