    FUNCTION OF THE JOB
    The Registrar acts as a central communication resource for academic and policy information related to student records management. The Registrar is responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the academic records and oversee the graduation process.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Organize and prepare for commencement, including rehearsal, preparation of commencement programs, and distribution of diplomas. Evaluate and certify graduates; order diplomas; prepare certificates, correspondence, and waivers.
    • Coordinate annual audits (i.e., ICCB and North Central).
    • Serve as a point of contact for issues pertaining to FERPA.
    • Provide necessary enrollment reports to college officials, outside agencies and auditors.
    • Manage issuance of official and unofficial transcripts, and enrollment verification information.
    • Responsible for class roster notifications to faculty, recording of deficiencies and final grades, and assisting in resolution of registration discrepancies.
    • Create, maintain and update procedure documentation manual as it relates to records.
    • Certify all athletic eligibility and track individual athletes throughout the school year.
    • Safeguard student information in accordance with relevant privacy laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Student Right to Know.
    • Supervise the records analyst with review, evaluation, and processing of high school transcripts including entering ACT, SAT and college placement test scores into the BANNER system.
    • Build and maintain the academic terms in the Student Information System and maintain the Degree Works program. Assist with managing all updates to the student information system pertaining to students' personal and academic data, such as registration, grades, grade changes, personal information and academic achievements.
    • Serve on curriculum committee.
    • Assume all other reasonable professional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

    REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in a college setting or equivalent education and experience is required.

    The candidate must possess strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to listen and respond to inquiries with clear and concise directions.

    Functional experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, BANNER preferred.
