    Description
    As part of the Corporate Finance team,

    the Procurement Specialist will utilize best practices in sourcing strategies to support our strategic procurement initiatives.

    The successful candidate will establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships, provide guidance and direction to procurement teammates, and serve as a subject-matter expert on procurement issues offering advice and recommendations in alignment with organizational needs and priorities.


    Responsibilities:
    Ensure procurement procedures reflect sound financial practices and align with organizational needs

    Review and consolidate purchasing bid data and validate internal data against third party records

    Coordinate and verify elements required for bids including rates

    Review vendor proposals and price quotes and plan source selection process

    Organize and participate in meetings with vendors and cross functional teams throughout bidding and selection process, and act as liaison to resolve and respond to inquiries

    Monitor and send notifications for relevant rate files to appropriate teams

    Prepare, process, and reconcile data contained within the financial decision support tool

    Monitor actual results of supply data against plans, forecasts and budgets

    Provide regular analytics, notifications, and follow up for rates and discrepancies; prepare detailed reports and presentations for management review

    Analyze market trends and implement cost reduction strategies

    Forecast inventory usage, create costing models, and provide regular departmental updates

    Perform financial analyses for purchases and renewal decisions based on contract terms and business inputs in adherence with contract timelines

    Develop, implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures

    and all related purchasing information and records

    Provide support and resolution

    for internal stakeholders requesting procurement assistance

    Partner with business intelligence (BI) analysts and team to ensure high quality and low error rate on source files

    Lead, supervise and mentor the purchasing team


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, finance/accounting or equivalent experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting

    Minimum 3 years procurement experience

    Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) a plus

    Strong financial analysis & technical skills

    Demonstrated organizational and time management skills

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a general understanding of database relationships required

    Oracle Cloud Fusion or other ERP experience a plus

    Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills

    Motivated, self-starter who can complete tasks independently in a fast-paced growth environment


    Hours:
    Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
