    Join our dynamic startup company at the forefront of innovation in silicon photonics with heterogeneously integrated III-V components. Our platform PDK enables the design, test, and production of photonic ASICs at scale.

    Role Description

    Work closely with senior Photonic Test Engineers to test photonic integrated circuit (PIC) wafers in our Goleta CA test lab. This is a paid internship.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Setup and execute wafer level and die level tests of photonic components.
    • Set up and configure photonic, RF and mechanical test set ups, fixtures and instrumentation.
    • Maintain test equipment such as lasers, power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues during testing, working closely with the test team to resolve any identified issues.
    • Modify Python code to execute and automate test programs

    Qualifications

    • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field.
    • Basic software coding experience, ideally in python
    • Basic experience operating lab equipment
    • Self-starting and independent but able to collaborate with team member
