    Medisave Shipping/Receiving Position Overview

    Position:

    Medisave US is a rapidly expanding medical supply firm seeking a motivated professional with superior organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail to join our production team. This full time position involves a wide variety of roles including (but not limited to) organizing and prioritizing a high volume of orders, reviewing order details for errors/issues, processing relevant information for multiple carriers, ordering and inventorying supplies, picking inventory from shelves and packing orders for shipment. Although an entry level position, this job has a great deal of growth potential for the right candidate.

    Job Description:

    • Reads customer order, work order, or shipping order to determine items to be picked, packed and shipped.
    • Assist in shipping and receiving (as needed) unloading trucks, checking in merchandise using receiving documents, matches and reviews purchase orders to packing lists to ensure all required items are included; documents information relating to receipt, storage or distribution of materials for processing.
    • Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
    • Sorts and places materials or items on appropriate racks, shelves, or bins accordingly.
    • Fills work orders or requests for materials, products, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
    • Packs, boxes, and ships product and material to distribution center, departments, and vendors. Includes, shrink wrapping, boxing and labeling. Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate method; i.e. Bar codes
    • Assist in cycle counts of physical inventory. Keeps warehouse and work area organized at all times.

    Requirements:

    · Ability to grasp, bend, stand, reach above shoulder height, and walk extensively throughout the warehouse. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work while standing/walking on concrete floors for long periods. May also be necessary to use step ladders to perform tasks involving climbing and reaching.

    · Basic reading, writing, computer and math skills. Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, SKU code).

    · Excellent organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in fast-paced, dynamic environment

    · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

    · Excellent problem solving abilities; able to "think outside of the box"

    · Works well within a team and able to fill a variety of roles

    · Ability to remain calm in stressful situations

    · Must be reliable and punctual
