- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Conduct assessments and develop appropriate intervention plans to address students' needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies for supporting students' academic and personal success.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention plans.
- Coordinate and facilitate referrals to external agencies and munity resources for additional support.
- Promote positive school climate and implement proactive strategies to prevent and address bullying, violence, and other behavioral concerns.
- Advocate for students' rights and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including progress notes and case documentation.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in school social work.
- Master's degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited university.
- Current state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker.
- Previous experience working in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of child development, mental health, and social work theories and practices.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, families, and school staff.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in using technology and software applications relevant to the role.
