    Responsibilities:

    • Manage projects of various sizes
    • Contribute to the design of roadway alignments and other related projects
    • Mentor and train younger staff
    • Plan and schedule work
    • Communicate and coordinate with clients
    • Manage project budgets and scopes
    • Participate in the planning and design of transportation projects


    Requirements:

    • BS in Civil Engineering or related field
    years of experience in roadway engineering

    • Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in North Carolina
    • Experience with NCDOT Design-DidBuild, Design-Build, and/or CMGC projects
    • Proficiency in design software tools such as MicroStation, In-Roads, and GEOPAK
    • Ability to develop and manage scope, manhour, and fee estimates
    • Strong communication skills
    • Positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    Desired

    Requirements:

    • OpenRoads Designer (ORD) experience/training
    • Alternative Delivery experience including PPP and Progressive Design-Build procurement
    • Design-Build experience in SC, GA, WV, and/or VA
    • Experience in General Engineering Services Consultant (GESC) role
    • Construction phase engineering services experience
