Description

job summary:
A Project Engineering Manager is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Fort Dodge, IA area. The Project Engineering Manager oversees the end-to-end management of small to major capital projects, ensuring adherence to project deliverables, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, managing budgets, schedules, construction, and commissioning, with a focus on process and packaging.

responsibilities:

Manage small, minor, and major capital projects from end to end.
Maintain visibility to the design process and ensure adherence to project deliverables.
Directly manage overall project execution, including construction and commissioning.
Coordinate with clients and various internal and external groups.
Assist in developing pre-project approval documents, including project charter, management plan, kick start, estimate, and milestone schedule.
Monitor design progress and ensure adherence to established project components.
Coordinate bid package development and release for construction bidding and field execution.

Skills:

Scheduling software knowledge (P6 or Project).
Cost reporting and trending through project management tools and Microsoft Excel.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering required.
Master's Degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience.
Must have experience in managing multi-million dollar manufacturing facility or production line projects.
Must have experience in construction management, scheduling, cost planning, stakeholder communication, capital project management, managing contractors, bidding, startups, and commissioning with a focus on process and packaging.
