    Description
    Job Responsibilities


    Travels assigned routes, assisting emergency response agencies during incidents, clearing travel lanes of disabled vehicles and debris, and assisting stranded motorist.

    also checking on abandoned vehicle. Perform weekly truck equipment/supplies inventory and inspections, monthly fire extinguisher inventory and inspections. Recording Incident Response activities of incident scenes and entering data into computer in a timely manner. Performs routine maintenance and programming of specialized equipment to changeable message boards. Assists in the operation of the Traffic Management Center. Monitoring cameras and dispatching the Incident responders as needed. Performs minor vehicle maintenance including weekly inventory checks basic office cleaning duties as assigned. Prepares written reports of Incident responders activities at major incident scenes. Runs errands to retrieve supplies and equipment needed for the Incident Management Program. Assists with emergency and inclement weather operations, may include extended hours and/or 12 hour shifts.

    Minimum and Additional Requirements


    A high school diploma and six (6) months of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.

    A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.


    The physical demands for the essential function involves manual dexterity, excellent vision, and may require lifting up to 60 lbs.

    May work outside of normal scheduled work week and during inclement weather. Work environment is generally in a truck and close proximity to heavy and fast moving traffic.
