Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and drive service department profitability. Your leadership will motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver top-quality automotive repairs and maintenance, fostering a culture of efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of the service department, including workflow, staffing, and customer interactions
- Supervise service technicians, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality workmanship
- Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Promote upselling of additional services and maintenance packages to maximize revenue opportunities
- Ensure accurate auto estimating and service writing for repair orders while maintaining high levels of customer communication
- Handle cash transactions and maintain proper cash handling procedures
- Foster a positive environment that emphasizes excellent customer service and team collaboration
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair techniques, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Experience working with various automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, brakes, alignments, suspensions, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair
- Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing processes
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
- Mechanical experience or technician background preferred to support team development
- Strong sales aptitude with a focus on upselling services and automobile sales when appropriate

Pay: $70, $120,000.00 per year
