    Description

    The Manager of Facility Maintenance reports to the Director of Facility Operations and primarily focuses on the overall maintenance programs and custodial operations of Grand Prix Plaza (GPP). They will be responsible for the development and implementation of facility maintenance strategies, aimed at achieving immediate success for GPP. The primary duty of the Manager of Facility Maintenance is to collaborate with other GPP and LVGP operations teams to ensure the building systems, policies, and sustainability programs are supported. This position will plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of facility custodial services, including public, private, corporate, and community events, including assisting the LVGP team as needed.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Oversight of facility and property maintenance operations and housekeeping services for the facilities.
    • Lead with maintenance procedures, processes, and responsibilities as it relates to the facility.
    • Responsible for OSHA compliance and knowledge of changes in Federal, State and Local law.
    • Collaboration and support for facility projects, construction and operations.
    • Participate in the development and administration of the Maintenance budget; forecast for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies.
    • Lead, develop, and maintain an informed and well-versed team to maintain facility cleanliness and maintain a high level of support to execute events.
    • Maintain open communications and professional relationships with all of Liberty Media, LVGP departments and the client.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of equipment and storage rooms.
    • Maintain hazardous materials communication program, material safety data sheets and required records and permits; Develop and maintain an accurate record keeping system.
    • Manages events with appropriate subcontractors, decorating companies, audio-visual companies, food and beverage, contractor, and others to ensure success of the event.

    • Coordinate, and review the work plan for changeover, facility maintenance and operations; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities, projects, and programs; monitor workflow; review and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures.
    • Collaborate, Develop, and manage a sustainability program for GPP with Liberty Media guidelines.
    • Order supplies, materials, and janitorial supplies to maintain the facilities within budget guidelines; receive, store, and maintain all supplies and materials.
    • Report to the VP of Operations on daily and weekly activities, provide maintenance reports.
    • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with LVGP Race and Event Operations administration.
    • Coordinate with management team to ensure all goals are met for each event.
    • Manage all administrative and operational matters within the department.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop annual department operating budget for GPP.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or similar education / experience in facility management.
    • Proven leadership experience in the live event production environment and leading a team.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a manager in the facility management industry or similar.
    • Experience in opening of new facilities in the live entertainment industry.
    • Knowledge of event report development and financial planning.
    • Working knowledge of operational equipment including but not limited to forklift, pallet jacks, scrubbers, floor buffers, etc.
    • Experience in managing third party contractors.
    • Ability to follow written instruction, interpret AutoCAD drawings and blueprints.
    • Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays and extended number of days.
    • Proficient in the implementation of facility sustainability programs.
    • Experience working in multicultural environments.
    • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project), planning software and online collaboration tools.
    • 5+ years' experience in live event management.
