    Description

    DIRECTV is seeking a Sr. Specialist in Advanced Analytics to gather, analyze, and interpret a wide variety of operational and customer data to identify key drivers, relationships, and insights to support Call Center Operations, to include agent performance, customer behavior, disconnect rates, retention strategy evaluation, and recommendation. This talented, highly motivated leader requires a strong background in data science and the ability to bring together disparate datasets to provide key/actionable insights as you will utilize your expertise to build predictive models from the ground up from feature selection to final deployment.

    Here's what you'll do:

    • Build predictive models which support workforce management's strategic initiatives.
    • Use data to tell a story and help guide decision-making within the organization.
    • Build and optimize ETL processes to transform raw data into usable formats for machine learning.
    • Identify pertinent datasets, evaluate data for suitability for predictive modeling, and document data logic, rules, and other pertinent metadata.
    • Collaborate with other team members to productionalize machine learning models.

    What you'll need to be successful:

    • Typically holds an advanced degree in a quantitative field (Math, Science, Engineering, etc.).
    • 3 - 5 years of related experience in data science, advanced analytics, and machine learning.
    • Expertise in python, SQL, and cloud-based data tools.
    • Familiarity with databricks and pyspark a plus.
    • Six-Sigma certification / formal training desired.
    • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, must be capable of explaining complex information to others in straightforward manner.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.

    The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

    DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $96,140 - $174,570

    Low (N1): $96,140 - $144,210

    Mid (N2): $101,200 - $151,800

    High (N3): $111,320 - $166,980

    Top (N4): $116,380 - $174,570
