    Job Description:
    Product Definition Engineer


    Responsibilities:


    Work directly with customer partners, Line of Business Marketing, Application Engineering, Product Managers, System Architects and SoC Engineering to develop a detailed product definition for Engineering.

    Build and maintain a product definition catalog with industry leading and competitive PPA metrics


    Provide initial assessments of engineering resources including team size and technical capabilities, required to successfully deliver the product to an agreed schedule.


    Work with internal engineering teams, external contract suppliers, IP vendors and ASIC houses to fulfill engineering resource requirements and build a realizable delivery plan.

    Develop engineering level relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure successful project execution.

    Work with operations team on test bring-up, characterization and validation to develop the post-silicon product specification

    Periodically perform technical skills/methodology gap analysis based on partner discussions and provide continuous feedback to engineering teams

    Identify critical path items in product development and rally the teams to reduce/eliminate impact

    Define and be responsible for the responsibilities of solutions product dev-ops team

    Responsible for external product compliances and certifications


    Required Skills and Experience:
    Shown experience in the design and development of SoC's.

    Good understanding of SoC architectures, compute subsystems, communication interfaces.

    Product engineering data analysis including an understanding of what impacts performance and yield within foundry, assembly, and test processes

    Broad understanding of DFT/test concepts, such as test strategy, scan, MBIST, LBIST, non-structural test (PHY, IO, analog), ATE, etc.

    Fundamental understanding of relationship between foundry process and CPU/GPU/SoC performance

    Strong understanding of steps to realize SoC development including architecture, RTL design and verification, DFT methodologies, physical implementation and packaging

    Excellent understanding of the processes and metrics used to supervise the progress and execution of SoC projects.

    Work with teams across Arm to coordinate timely delivery


    Effectively handle engineering execution of the project, working with engineering teams on problem solving, and with partners when needed to make timely decisions on scope and resource.
