    Job Description:


    The Center for Arts in Medicine (CAM) in the College of the Arts is looking for a motivated and talented colleague to assist with communication and marketing efforts.

    The successful candidate will work as part of the CAM Communications creative team to create clear and compelling communications and marketing products across many information channels including social media platforms, newsletters, website copy, press releases, and more.

    This dynamic position is ideal for a creative, self-motivated person with strong writing skills, understanding of social media platforms, and interest in communications at the intersection of health and the arts.

    This is an hourly OPS position and does not include a tuition/fee waiver or benefits. The position will work between 15-20 hours/week scheduled between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Remote work available.

    Responsibilities:

    Duties include, but not limited to:

    • Preparing and implementing Center for Arts In Medicine (CAM) communications and marketing efforts for both digital and print media.
    • Developing social media content for all CAM social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X/Twitter.
    • Copywriting for communications materials such as website copy, newsletters, etc.
    • Completing scheduled tasks/projects in a timely manner by meeting deadlines

    Expected Salary:
    $14 -17 Hourly


    Minimum Requirements:
    High school diploma or equivalent.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    The successful candidate will bring to the position:

    • Coursework and/or experience in communications, marketing communications, writing, copywriting, or related areas
    • Proficiency in social media platform management
    • Experience with graphic design, use of Canva, and/or use of the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically: Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
    • Knowledge of the latest communications and marketing principles
    • Experience in creating engaging content for various information channels
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a creative team
    • Ability to prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical project timelines
    • Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
    • Evidence of success in promoting an environment that advances pluralism, curiosity, viewpoint diversity, open discourse, and the well-being of all.
