Job Description
What you will be doing:
Developing and implementing quality control procedures
Managing a team of inspectors
Collaborating with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues
Conducting regular inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products
Analyzing quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for continuous improvement
Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components
Driving a culture of quality throughout the organization
Serving as a point of contact for customer quality concerns and complaints
Being aware and knowledgeable of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality management
Developing and maintaining test equipment and fixtures
Organizing and managing the multidisciplinary Kaizens of continuous improvement
Responsible for product quality issues, including customer complaints and feedback, production inspection procedures, final inspection, root cause analysis and corrective action management
Experience you will need:
Bachelors degree in engineering, quality management, or related field or a minimum of 5-7 years of work experience in quality control
Proven experience in quality control management within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge and experience with industrial products such as electrical interconnects, power cable assemblies, and portable power distribution
Experience in custom cable and wire harness industry
A working knowledge of international and market specific quality requirements.
Including but not limited to:
ISO 9001, IEC, UL, CSA
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques, including statistical analysis software and inspection equipment
