    Job DescriptionMechanical Project Engineer

    Position Summary:
    As a Mechanical Project Engineer, your primary role will be to participate in the design and detail engineering efforts supporting the construction of aluminum and steel shells. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the product meets the highest standards of quality and performance.
    Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
    1. Design Mechanical Systems:
      • Create models, drawings, and detailed bills of materials for mechanical systems.
      • Ensure compliance with specifications.
    2. Calculations and Analysis:
      • Perform necessary calculations related to mechanical systems design.
    3. Collaboration:
      • Support estimators during the preliminary stages of projects.
      • Assist production personnel during the construction phase.
      • Participate in testing and trials
    4. Documentation:
      • Maintain the engineering block library and mechanical systems standards documents.
    5. Supervisory Responsibility:
      • May supervise and mentor a team of up to two engineers and designers.
      • Provide oversight to engineering subcontractors working on relevant design tasks.
    6. Interpersonal Contacts:
      • Maintain professional relationships within and outside the organization.
      • Effectively influence decisions through respectful interactions.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, Ship Constructor, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
    • Familiarity with engineering principles and practices for commercial piping design, HVAC industry preferably
    • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and independently..
