Department Details
Endoscopy at Broadway Hospital focuses on gastroenterological and pulmonary diseases. Our team handles diagnostic and screening procedures for GI and Pulmonary cases. The department is equipped with 10 procedure rooms and 12 prep/recovery bays.
Procedures include various tests ranging from Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) to Small Bowel Pillcam. We handle around 60 cases daily and an average of 1300 cases monthly. You won't be alone, with a dedicated 24/7 GI on-call team to support both emergency and non-emergency inpatient cases.
Shifts are 10-hour days with one late stay per week. The duration varies between 7:30am-6:00pm and 6:30am-5:00pm. On-call shifts occur once every 5-6 weeks on a rotation basis. Flexibility is key as staff may need to float between campuses as required.
