Located in the heart of Dallas, Texas Institute for Surgery (TIS) is a state-of-the-art surgical hospital dedicated to providing the best in surgical services in combination with renowned patient care. Our facility has nine OR's, three pain management/lithotripsy treatment rooms and CT scan radiology services. There are also nine patient and family-friendly inpatient rooms for longer recovery needs.

TIS was founded and is jointly owned by a select group of highly-acclaimed Dallas surgeons and Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas.

TIS surgeons specialize in orthopedic surgery, back and spine surgery, pain management, ENT procedures, plastic surgery, foot and ankle surgery, urological surgical care, sports medicine and other specialties.

Purpose:

The Radiologic Technologist provides timely, high quality images for doctors. Responsible for the performance of radiological exams, radiology records and equipment maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs diagnostic radiographs for procedures and examsMaintains equipment to include cleaning, inspecting and reporting any malfunctions. Maintains, tracks, and confirms that all radiation regulated standards are met. Coordinates activities with the Radiation Safety OfficerEnsures radiology supplies are replenished and stockedEnters patient charges into the electronic health records (EHR) databaseRestocks and sets up fluoroscopy rooms for the next dayOrders supplies as neededAssists with transport of patients, including to and from the fluoroscopy room or exam table as neededInputs data into the computerMust work within scope of practice

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of acute care experience requiredExperience with employee health record (EHR) databasesARRT (R) certification, CT strongly preferred
Current registration with the State of Texas - Radiology
