- Demonstrated knowledge diabetes self-management education and counseling techniques
- Ability to develop, market and instruct diabetes education
- Ability to assess all diabetes programs and services according to objectives
- The ability to ensure the confidentiality and rights of all client/patient, health system and departmental documents is required.
- Must have a current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Current certification by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (CDCES) preferred. Must be able to obtain within 18 months if not currently certified.
- A minimum of two years' experience with care of persons with diabetes and diabetes-related illnesses.
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday mostly dayshift with one evening shift monthly on Tuesdays
