Gotta Groove Records, the only vinyl record pressing plant in Cleveland Ohio, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our staff.
OUR MISSION:
Not all records are created equal. Our mission is to produce the highest quality vinyl records possible from both a sonic and aesthetic perspective at a fair price and with as minimal environmental impact as possible; and to provide industry-best customer service. We love to make and listen to records. No matter the size of the order, our vinyl pressing plant provides personal service and strives for same-day responsiveness to all email and telephone inquiries.
Maintenance Mechanic
Position Summary: Ensure the output of high quality records with the smallest amount of scrap by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs or production machinery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Maintains production flow by timely repair of production machinery when needed
-Minimizes production downtime by developing and adhering to preventive maintenance schedules
-Assists in communicating machinery status and repairs by entering press notes and discussing work performed with Supervisors
-Produces quality records by inspecting machine for proper operation prior to production and monitoring and adjusting press as necessary during operation.
-Resolves problems by adjusting press to meet specifications; notifying supervisor as needed to obtain additional resources
-Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
-Maintains pressing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
-Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Minimum Qualifications
-Manufacturing Experience, Mechanical Inspections, Equipment Maintenance, Safety Management, Tooling, Quality Focus, Judgement and Decision Making skills
-Ability to multitask while maintaining excellent organization
Wage Range
Jobs start at $24.00 an hour depending on prior experience and the starting hourly range for employees at this position is $24.00 to $30.00
