    The Data Discovery (BigID) engineer will work as part of the Cyber Risk Governance team to roll out BigID.
    This individual will work to deploy the BigID remote scanners in Azure Kubernetes (AKS) and on-prem Kubernetes environments.
    Engineer will extensively work with Data Discovery analysts,

    Data Governance and Data Privacy Office and other enterprise platform teams to onboard and scan enterprise structured and unstructured data sources and assess data classification and data risk exposure.

    What you'll do
    Creating documentation for requirements, engineering drawings and diagrams, as well as operational installation (runbooks) to deliver infrastructure services for projects

    Maintain responsibility for the day-to-day operations of BigID platform and remote scanners
    Translating business needs into actionable deliverables
    Work with data analysts to capture requirements for enterprise projects and identify the enterprise infrastructure services required
    Research new modules in BigID and come up with potential use cases
    Document infrastructure environments in coordination with other infrastructure and application teams to ensure the system is secure, highly available, and scalable
    Collaborate with project managers, other engineers, architects, administrators, and customers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
    Working with other enterprise infrastructure teams to deliver enterprise services to the businesses
    Working with service providers of the platform to upgrade new versions
    Explores and stays abreast of new technologies that can bring value to the organization
    Manages technology proof of concept selection criteria, evaluation, and testing

    All you'll need for success

    Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

    3 years of experience as a systems or infrastructure engineer
    Basic knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle database, PostgresSQL, MySQL, MongoDB administration skills
    Mandatory experience
    3 years of experience with BigID platform administration including scanner deployments and building scan profiles
    3 years of experience as Kubernetes administrator with knowledge to deploy and manage cloud native applications in Kubernetes environments
    Must have hands on experience in docker containers, Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes services administrations
    Must have good working experience with various Azure technologies
    Must have hands on experience with DevOps automation tools
    Must have knowledge of handling APIs for various integrations

    Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    Basic knowledge of data management disciplines such as data discovery, data governance, data privacy concepts

    Experience in onboarding different types of data sources in large scale enterprise environment
    Experience in assessing data classification and data sensitivity across structured and unstructured data sources

    Skills, Licenses & Certifications

    Knowledge of programming and scripting, including BASH, Python, VBS, or PowerShell

    Experience with scripting or programming, including Perl, Python, C, C++, C#, Java, Bash and Shell, or Batch a plus
    Capability to lead both technical and non-technical discussions.
    Experience with Data Center managed service providers
    Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and coordinate teams to resolve root cause
    Ability to engage with multi-discipline internal teams to ensure smooth rollout of data protection solutions and successful integration with application teams
    Ability to interact with other enterprise teams, data analysts and data governance teams for cross functional efforts
    Ability to effectively communicate progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders
    Demonstrated proficiency in strategic thinking and creative problem-solving with the ability to translate data analysis into logical and actionable outcomes
    Ability to manage stressful situations and adapt to changing environments
    Strong problem solving skills and ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
    Ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions and/or workarounds
    Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
    Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge
    Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
    Proficiency in Agile project management methodology, specifically within the infrastructure area
    Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)


    Pay Range:
    $60-75/hr


    The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
