    Job Description
    • Lead, strategize, and implement the proper architecture and administration features for our system specific needs
    • Lead initiatives using enterprise architecture best practices and industry architecture frameworks
    • Conduct and participate in journey mapping with business and technology stakeholders to ensure a cohesive cross-channel user experience
    • Apply Human-Centered Design Thinking principles to clearly establish workflow and functions based on roles and personas
    • Collaborate with the business SMEs (subject matter experts), analysts, architects, engineers, and other members of the Child Support Division organization on application modernization initiatives
    • Work with Information Technology (IT) groups in defining architectures and leading projects that cross functional agency systems and other state entities
    • Support business partners' new product initiatives by designing proof of concept plans and testing specific hypotheses as to how a technology would provide desired business results
    • Architect cloud applications with core experience in modern application architecture, cloud computing, Identity and Access Management, IT infrastructure and security
    • Plan, design and review the construction of APIs, providing direction and guidance that ensure compliance with standards and requirements
    • Perform in a "trusted expert advisor" role as a Subject Matter Expert for technical architecture and services, to both internal and external customers, ranging from formal advice to internal and external customer presentations
    • Follow all organizational Standard Operating Procedures relative to approvals and reviews, and all other associated workflow and deliverables
    • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, good organization habits and responsive and professional behavior to others in the course of conducting agency business.
    Qualifications
    • Experience in systems design, programming, implementation and integration of complex distributed IT solutions (e.g. cloud, distributed systems or high-performance computing)
    • Broad, domain level architectural understanding of:
      • Modern Application Architecture
      • Cloud Computing
      • DevSecOps
      • IT Infrastructure
      • Network
      • IT Governance
      • IT Security
    • Hands-on development experience with rules engine
    • Experience with databases, data lakes, data modeling and data analytics with products such as PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Elasticsearch, Elk, and/or Qlik
    • Experience with architecting security designs in compliance with security regulations such as NIST, IRS, PCI, or HIPAA
    • Experience working in cross-functional software engineering teams that incorporate software developers, QA, and product managers
    • Experience gathering business and systems requirements and identifying gaps
    • Experience with Mobile architecture design
    • Experience with Agile and other SDLC methodologies
    • Experience with Cloud architecture and design (Azure, Google, AWS)
    • Knowledge of hyper-converged technology, containerization, and serverless services
    • Hold one or more Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Azure Architect Design and/or equivalent work experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Master's degree a plus and/or equivalent work experience
    • Experience developing systems in state government and/or the financial industry
    • Experience with designing API framework or integration service bus with products like MuleSoft
