The Mercadien Group is hiring for a Tax Director or Principal to become a Leader in our Tax Practice with a Partnership opportunity.

Responsibilities
Be a technical and consultative tax resource to all professionals in the firm
Keep up technically and disseminate information to tax professionals and the remainder of the firm as appropriate
Provide advice relating to a variety of corporate tax structure needs within our client base
Service a large book of clients
Consult with other professionals within the firm on technical tax matters
Assist all client service teams as needed (i.e. manager level review of files, participating as a subject matter expert, etc.)
Develop strategic business development plan anticipating new tax service needs
Write articles and newsletters to disseminate tax law changes and issues to clients and prospective clients

Requirements:
Must possess a JD degree, and an LLM is preferred
Must have deep and wide-ranging technical tax advisory skills covering a variety of areas
Must be skilled at tax planning and consulting
Must possess proficient computer skills, with particular skills in building financial models
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
