    Position Overview: Onboard volunteers according to CMC policy and procedures including matching individuals appropriately based on their likeness to department specifics and needs. Carry out necessary functions to support volunteer services and the need of Cayuga Medical Center.

    What you'll do:

    • Volunteer Assistance:
      • Coordinate and onboard volunteers appropriately, received and file documents electronically, organize volunteers for departments and effectively monitor their schedules based on department needs and volunteer availability.
      • Maintain accurate and up to date electronic records on all volunteers
      • Consistent auditing of volunteers including compliance with medical requirements and educational requirements as well as the auditing of volunteer hours
    • Administrative Support:
      • Maintain databases, draft letters/emails appropriately, accurate and timely typing and copying documents, provide effective coverage for other staff members time away to ensure essential tasks are completed in a timely manner.
    • Calendar Management:
      • Schedules promptly without conflict with proper notification to all involved, appropriate time allowed for meeting and necessary materials assembled, maintains appointment calendars accurately.
      • Volunteer schedules maintained based on the needs of the department and volunteers.
      • Continuous auditing of volunteer positions and expansion
      • Notification of volunteer absences/breaks to department point persons
    • Event Planning:
      • Setting up yearly events supporting volunteer fundraising
      • Aiding in carrying out ideas to actions for Volunteer fundraising.
      • Send invitations to appropriate persons for events.
    • Gift Shop:
      • Operating the cash register and understanding the system well enough to provide assist others.
      • Maintain basic knowledge of QuickBooks and QuickBooks point of sale.
    • In addition to above, flexibility in assuming other appropriate responsibilities not noted above.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Education - HS Diploma
    • Experience - Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office suite
    • Licensure - N/A
    • Able to lift 15+ pounds
    • Some lifting of supplies and products
    • Primarily office setting, sitting
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Proficient in Google sheets
    • Quickbooks experience
    • Point of Sale system experience
    Travel Requirements:
    • Onsite with occasional remote
    • 5% travel to events
