We are seeking a ***Class A Driver with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements in the Meriden, CT*** area to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste in conjunction with all DOT rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
Individual will complete hazardous and non-hazardous paperwork, and perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Individual will also be responsible for operating various types of equipment; and perform other duties as assigned.
The ability to work overtime, and to work a schedule that may vary, some travel and daytime work may be necessary.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or the equivalent three years of experience with over the road driving
Class A CDL driving license with hazardous material and tanker endorsement are required.
The selected candidate must be detail oriented; customer focused; have the ability to apply basic mathematical concepts; and have the ability to read, understand and apply common operational documents, SOP's, and training modules.
This position requires extensive travel within the northeast region, and will require employees to work in the weather elements each day.
The ability to exert physical effort daily wear a full-face respirator; and to wear Level C & D protective clothing when necessary
The ability to work occasional overtime; pass a pre-employment DOT physical, drug screen (urine), and background check, are required.
