Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

The Center for the Study of the American South at UNC-Chapel Hill is committed to nurturing rigorous scholarship, critical conversations, and creative expressions for a diverse and changing South.

We explore the region in all of its dimensions, including its global impacts, with a particular emphasis on multidisciplinary research centered in the arts, humanities, and social sciences that reaches issues such as health and well-being, justice, equity and inclusion, and environmental sustainability.

Position Summary

Research Specialist will work for Legal Defense Fund SOHP grant and research for Southern Cultures journal.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
