Candidate should be local to Pittsburgh or have the ability to commute in office when expected.

We are seeking a Senior Manager for our External Reporting & Technical Accounting team at our Pittsburgh headquarters. The ideal candidate will offer accounting leadership and support on intricate projects, monitor regulatory changes, and engage in strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, analyzing cash flow, and providing accounting guidance.

• Lead and support accounting efforts on complex projects and transactions.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and drive adoption projects as necessary.
• Participate in strategic initiatives related to debt, acquisitions, and treasury operations.
• Supervise accounting functions like pensions, insurable liabilities, and contingencies.
• Prepare detailed accounting memos for transaction treatments.
• Contribute to assumptions for pensions, and workers compensation plans.
• Provide consultative support for daily accounting and reporting queries.
• Develop, interpret, and uphold comprehensive accounting policies and procedures.
• Deliver training to the finance team.
• Collaborate with the Director, Corporate Accounting on technical disclosures in SEC filings.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license required.
• Minimum of 9 years of experience in Public Accounting or Corporate External Reporting.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with large ERP
