    Description


    We are looking for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide health services to the individuals in the care of the agency during the day.

    The RN will provide care for adults with developmental disabilities in community residences in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act and our regulatory agencies.

    The RN will also be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the healthcare needs of individuals and documenting the findings.

    Primary Duties & Essential Functions
    Create and maintain a health file for each individual admitted into our programs
    Develop and implement a nursing care plan, which provides for routine prophylactic care and individualized services as noted in the admission assessment
    Provide ongoing nursing assessments as dictated by the individuals needs
    Review documentation received from health care providers and implement the recommendations given by the provider within an appropriate time period
    Maintain an adequate supply of medication for individual use in school/day program

    Required Education, Knowledge And Skills
    Graduate of an accreditation school of professional nursing.
    Valid NYS RN License.
    Valid drivers license with a clean MVR.
    Relevant experience is mental health, developmental disabilities, or community nursing.
    Must be able to work a 40-hour work week.
