We have a burgeoning cardiovascular program and are looking for experienced, knowledgeable, and caring lab technicians to grow our cardiac electrophysiology program.

Benefits Sign On Bonus or Tuition Repayment of up to $20,000 Preceptorship pay available depending on level of experience Option for limited call available if desired Qualifications Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and/or registry eligible Prefer at least 2 years of experience working in a Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab Candidate must be able to assist in performing a variety of procedures in the cardiac EP Lab, including implantation of pacemaker/ICD/CRT devices, EP studies, and catheter ablation Experience with 3D mapping, EP recording, pacing stimulation, ablation generators required Ability to act in a professional capacity and serve as a professional role model# while functioning independently with# minimal# supervision Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with other personnel Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required Knowledge of electrical and radiation hazards Capability to lift and position patients and equipment Position requires ability to walk frequently, stand and sit for prolonged periods, see objects closely, and hear normal sounds with background noises Responsibilities Fulltime, Days, Mon-Fri, 7am - 3:30 pm, option for limited call available if desired Monitor, scrub (including but not limited to: site entry, draping, arrangement of sterilized instruments/catheters, calibrating/setting up pressure transducers and tubing), or circulate as required Operate and maintain electrophysiology recording systems, stimulators, and ablation systems Serve as clinical preceptor to lab staff as needed in cardiac electrophysiology Participate in quality control and improvement Provide cross-coverage for the cardiac catheterization lab as needed Troubleshoot equipment issues and/or initiate repair Positively collaborate and coordinate the continuum of care within a multi-disciplinary team and across divisions/units Perform patient care in accordance with the policies , procedures, and protocols of the Hannibal Regional Health System to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff #


Position Purpose:

Under the general supervision of the physicians and/or the Director - Cardiac Cath Lab, is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients according to Department philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures.

Maintains standards of care and practice of the Department. Coordinates and conducts educational programs for others including, but not limited to, team members, patients, EMS and community groups. Conducts QA studies, contributes to data gathering/entry and attends department meetings.

Specifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Licensure, Certification, Registration):

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and/or registry eligible
