    Occupational Therapist Position at Arbor Therapy:

    Arbor Therapy is in search of compassionate and committed occupational therapists to become part of our team, delivering community-based (home health) services to clients in the East Valley of Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate should possess experience working with pediatric and adult populations in home environments.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Conduct client screenings and evaluations
    • Implement treatment plans or protocols
    • Supervise treatment administered by Occupational Therapy Assistants if applicable
    • Aid injured, ill, or disabled patients in improving their physical health for better performance of daily activities
    • Record and organize data to evaluate clients' progress or review program quality
    • Track clients' advancement towards achieving treatment goals within set deadlines
    • Handle a full-time or part-time caseload of clients
    • Establish strong collaborations with other healthcare teams to ensure a favorable client journey
    • Develop rapport with family members and provide parental guidance for better therapy continuation at home
    • Collaborate with relevant parties and convey patient progress updates
    • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines
    • Execute any other assigned duties

    Desired Qualifications and Skills:

    • A Master's Degree accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)
    • Occupational Therapist licensure through the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
    • Experience in early intervention for developmental delays/disabilities is highly regarded
    • Preferable expertise in feeding therapy
    • Knowledge of communication disorders in all aspects
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
    • Positive and professional attitude
    • Willingness to undergo training in specific treatment areas
    • Being bilingual is a strong asset

    Work Environment:

    This role involves intermittent standing, lifting, kneeling, and sitting. Additionally, the position may involve interactions with clients facing mental, physical, and/or behavioral challenges, who might display verbal or physical aggression at times.
