    OVERVIEWThe Order Entry Technician is responsible for entering prescriptions and refills into the pharmacy system with both speed and accuracy.

    Technicians must be responsive and courteous when addressing our customer's needs.

    Successful Technicians are dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; understanding customer information and using it to improve products and services we deliver.

    Mon
    • Fri, with rotating weekends, 2nd shift.

    RESPONSIBILITIESEnter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy systemResolve and answer questions about customers' needs and requestsActively contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of client services, policies, and proceduresComply with government and department policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress codeFollow all applicable government regulations, including HIPPAEnsure safety policy and procedures are consistently adhered to and practicedOther duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needsQualificationsQUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredPharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice Minimum of one (1) year working as a pharmacy technician (long-term care pharmacy preferred)Knowledge of brand name/generic medicationsExperience with alpha-numeric data entryMust have a basic understanding and ability to read and correct key prescriptionsBasic math computation skillsKnowledge of SIG codesFrameworks, ECM, and Docutrack experience a plusProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.

    Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
