,works under minimum supervision to provide a wide variety of duties requiring advanced technical clerical patient care and organizational skills to assist in providing treatment to patients recruits trains coaches motivates the dental assistants Selects trains motivates supervises evaluates assigned staff behaviors and performance to ensure maximum utilization Promotes adherence by other personnel to all policies and procedures nationally recognized standards of practice creates staffing assignments as established with the department guidelines meets productivity targets Revise assignments during shift make changes necessary meet specific needs patients on a shift-by-shift basis works lead dentist maintain standardize practice standards workflows across all dental service areas Population Health demonstrates due diligence effective problem solving collaborating staff ensures effective resolution identified issues Intervenes problem solves inter/intra-departmental issues facilitates interdepartmental communication negotiation decision-making utilizes chain command unresolved escalating issues needed Advocates for patients staff provides safe delivery care environment care maintains direct care clinical competencies performs all dental assistant functions intake assessment radiographs room cleaning assisting procedures as needed active schedules monitors orders clinic supplies coordinates instrument sterilization Sterile Processing Department supply chain assures inventory hand for dental service stays current latest development trends ,dental assistance attending in-service seminars workshops reading internal publications integrating knowledge gained current work practices actively participates routine special staff meetings special projects development implementation evaluation performance improvement activities.
