The Area Mech Woodworker is more than just a modern day carpenter. The Area Mech Woodworker is responsible for keeping our parks and resorts safe and looking perfect so Guests get the full enjoyment of our Parks and Resorts. Our carpentry shops are first-class and have the tools for efficiency and productivity. Safety is also front-and-center. The Area Mech Woodworker will perform scheduled and planned work, along with responding to immediate needs. This is a field service position that may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.

Starting Pay Rate for this position is $23.76/hour

Basic Qualifications :

Valid Florida Driver's License
Minimum of 5 years' experience in carpentry
Experience in all facets of the carpenter and cabinet maker trade including rough and finish carpentry, roofing, cabinetmaking and furniture repair
Ability to operate carpentry shop and hand tools or equipment associated woodworking
Experience installing windows, doors, interior and exterior trim, and erecting structures from ground level
Experience reading and interpreting plumbing blueprints, material takeoffs, prints for permit submittals and construction prints
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
