- Possess strong leadership abilities and excel in at least two (2) of the following areas: clinical care, education, and research.
- Collaborate with the Office of Recruitment and Department Chair to expand the division's faculty size over the next 3-5 years, focusing on nurturing a diverse and inclusive faculty community.
- Promote collaboration and engagement across research, teaching, and clinical functions.
- Spearhead new interdisciplinary projects aimed at involving various disciplines locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Lead the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the academic hub for all MUPC/MUHC Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists
- Ensure full compliance of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry clinic and inpatient operations with our budget and strategic departmental objectives.
- Function as the Medical Director for our Outpatient and Inpatient Youth Services, including a 17-bed Youth Unit and our Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic.
- Mentor Division faculty effectively to nurture their academic pursuits.
- Demonstrate a track record of fostering collaboration and building strong internal and external relationships.
- MD or DO, MD /Ph.D., or equivalent qualification.
- American Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Eligibility for licensure in the State of Missouri.
- Academic credentials suitable for an appointment as Associate Professor or Professor at the University of Missouri.
- Possess leadership experience and be open to enhancing leadership skills further.
- Training in DBT, CBT, and/or MI.
- For this application, board-certified/board eligible status is viewed as experienced.
- Proven leadership in an academic department.
- Engagement in nationally recognized Child and Adolescent academic initiatives.
- An understanding of the intricacies of academic life and the interplay between departments (divisions), hospitals, and healthcare systems.
- Recognition as a K or R awarded researcher with a publication history showcasing expertise in a field of child or adolescent psychiatry.
- Base salary positioned at the 50th percentile of AAMC, commensurate with the candidate's experience and academic background.
