- Provide health assessments, screenings, and interventions for students
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Develop and implement health care plans for students with chronic conditions or special needs
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure the holistic health of students
- Promote health education and preventive care initiatives within the school community
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alaska
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Prior experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school or pediatric healthcare setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to undergo background checks and fulfill any additional requirements mandated by the school district
- The RN will serve students in grades K-12 across multiple school buildings
- Caseload may include students with diverse health needs, including chronic conditions, disabilities, and acute illnesses
- The RN will collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to address the health needs of all students
