    Description

    Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a well known healthcare system to fill a need for a Medical Assistant in Littleton, CO AND Lone Tree, CO. This is a contract to hire opportunity, with full benefits upon hire

    Pay: $22/hour

    Contract Length: 4 months, with potential to convert to a permanent employee

    Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Under direct supervision, assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. Promotes efficient patient flow and patient care, i.e. exams, and procedures. Performs clinic support tasks including miscellaneous clerical tasks, answering phones, and maintaining physician's schedule.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as appropriate. Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
    • Obtains all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or procedures. Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed.
    • Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
    • Manage wound care including unwrapping, cleaning, and rewrapping wounds
    • Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, as delegated by RN or physician.
    • Maintains all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
    • Responds to patients' calls as requested.
    • Performs other administrative duties, i.e. typing, filing, faxing, reception, etc, as requested by supervisor or physician.
    • Alerts nurse/physician of abnormal vitals, any important information given by patient.
    • Collection of patient demographic and vital informaiton
    • Fill out disability forms.

    • May enter orders under a provider's direction and supervision.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • CMA preferred
    • 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • EMR Experience required (EPIC or SRS preferred)
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, required

    Because this position is in a healthcare setting, all immunizations must be up to date (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, seasonal flu, and Covid-19)
