Description
DSJ Global is partnered with a leading company in the Aerospace industry. They are looking to add a Director of Quality to join the team in the Greater Boston area. This role will primarily be responsible for overseeing the product and manufacturing development process. Along with the development and improvement of the quality control and assurance process.As the Director of Quality, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance within our aerospace operations.
You will lead a team of quality professionals, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance our overall product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Quality department, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of excellence.
Ensure compliance with relevant aerospace industry regulations, standards, and certifications.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.
Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain high-quality standards for incoming materials and components.
Work closely with engineering, production, and other departments to drive a holistic approach to quality throughout the product lifecycle.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on quality metrics, driving data-based decision-making.
Champion a customer-centric approach to quality, ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred.
10 years of progressive experience in quality management within the aerospace industry.
In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality standards, regulations, and certifications (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.).
Proven track record of successfully leading quality teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.
