Summary:

The Physical Therapist - Organizes andconducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restorefunction, prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of abody part, and helps patients reach maximum performance levels.Plans therapy involving physical exercise, massage, heat, water,etc. Utilizes various mechanical and electrical equipment, andprosthetic and orthotic devices. Evaluates, records and reports onpatient progress.

CHRISTUS SpohnHospital Alice was built in 1999 to serve the healthcareneeds of people in Alice and the surrounding communities. Thehospital is a Level IV Trauma Center and is licensed for 186 bedsand offers comprehensive medical and surgical services includingpediatrics, obstetrics, skilled nursing, emergency and intensivecare, as well as cardiac and comprehensive services. At CHRISTUSSpohn Hospital Alice, Coastal Bend nurses can feel confident theyhave a place to work that will support them and help them growprofessionally. The hospital has achieved the Pathway toExcellence designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center(ANCC), recognizing hospitals which support and nurture theirnurses' development.

Requirements:

Graduate of anaccredited school of PhysicalTherapy
Knowledgeable of the American PhysicalTherapy Association Code of Ethics and the Guide to PhysicalTherapy Practice. Excellent communicationskills
New graduates accepted; experiencepreferred
Current license by the Texas Board ofPhysical Therapy & Occupational TherapyExaminers
CPR (American HeartAssociation)
