    Position Summary

    Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Dispatcher & Logistics Coordinator - Trucking. This is a full-time, exempt position with comprehensive benefits package in a casual office environment.

    Essential Functions
    • Schedule and coordinate the daily scheduling assignments for a fleet of Tractor Trailer Drivers.
    • Coordinate with an experienced sales/service team and to fulfill our wide variety of customer needs while maintaining safety and efficiency.
    • Assist with new hire/onboarding process.
    • Secure permits and escorts (when necessary).
    • Work with our safety department to maintain DOT/FMCSA, safety and Insurance files and compliance for operational personnel.
    • Maintain schedules, records, and logs of daily activity of equipment and labor as well as daily activity reports.
    • Coordinate with the service department to schedule repairs and maintenance for the fleet.
    • Track and maintain weekly expense reports and fuel logs for crane operators and oilers.
    • Coordinate drug testing, road tests and operator and driver evaluations.
    • Conduct training for company documentation and technology/software where necessary.
    • Ensure company drivers maintain compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company policies.
    • Assist with audits of company fleet to ensure that they are equipped with up to date registrations, insurance cards, IFTA fuel stickers, annual inspections, etc.
    • Dispatcher will also assist in other activities and duties as assigned.
    Skills and Experience Requirements
    • Experienced in dispatch and logistics functions.
    • Knowledge of the permitting process for oversize loads.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Must be able to work 45 hours a week and overtime as needed.
    • Able to sit for longs periods of time.
    • Able to use phone, computer and other office equipment.
