- Perform advanced technological systems support, maintenance, and testing to ensure proper system upkeep.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows-based environments and related infrastructure.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
- Stay updated on current technological developments and trends in your area of expertise.
- Provide clear handoff and instructions to outsourced resources.
- Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability proactively.
- Effectively prioritize and manage multiple open issues concurrently.
- Lead and mentor System Engineer I and System Engineer II team members.
- Develop and maintain useful documentation for application or infrastructure procedures.
- Suggest changes and efficiencies to standards and automation for continual improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of Windows operating system internals, system manager tools, account/file maintenance, and user-level commands and utilities.
- Experience as an AD domain admin.
- Experience with on-premise or cloud enterprise infrastructure design and support.
- Experience using and managing SCCM.
- Comfortable working within virtualized environments like VMware.
- Solid networking knowledge.
- Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
- Experience with change control policies and submitting thorough records for approval.
- Solid understanding of security and performance best practices.
