    The

    Investment Analyst


    is an investment management professional that works directly with other Investment Analyst(s) and Portfolio Manager(s) to provide analytical support to the investment philosophy/process of GuideStone Capital Management (GSCM) related to the management of GuideStone Funds (comprised of 17 Select Funds, four target risk funds and five target date funds) and other public market strategies.

    This person would be expected to be proficient in all research aspects related to areas of assignment.

    This individual must have experience in an investment related role preferably with a background in investment manager research and portfolio construction.

    In addition, the ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the global public markets and have an understanding of the multi-manager investment landscape.


    What you will do:
    GSCM, in general, utilizes a multi-manager approach in the management of the Select Funds. The Select Funds are used as the "building blocks" for GSCM's target risk and target date funds.
    Conduct thorough research on prospective and current sub-advisers and funds in assigned areas.
    Identify capital market information and all other factors that influence sub-adviser and fund performance.

    Proactively make recommendations under assigned areas of coverage in order to better position funds to consistently outperform benchmarks and peer universes.

    Maintain advanced application skills on all analytical tools to support the investment management process.
    Review and improve analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and sub-adviser oversight capabilities.
    Assist in the calculation and maintenance of sub-adviser rankings within proprietary ranking system.
    Assist in the preparation of sub-adviser mandates/guidelines.

    Maintain working relationship with each sub-adviser under assignment for the purpose of facilitating ongoing portfolio management, including routine portfolio management items, information request, reporting, meeting coordination, etc.

    Have knowledge of cash flow and liquidity status of each Select Fund assigned.
    Assist in sub-adviser transition efforts.
    Actively engage in robust discussion during the Portfolio Management Team's weekly investment strategy and macroeconomic meetings.
    Understand ranking methodologies of peer universe providers.
    Reconcile calculations / performance of peer universes versus internal information.


    What you will need:
    Bachelor's Degree required.
    Master's degree or advanced certification (CFA, CAIA, FRM etc) or working towards a plus.
    Proficiency with investment analytic and risk software packages such as Aladdin, Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, Axioma, FactSet, eVestment and Zephyr.
    3-5 years in the investment industry, ideally with some experience in a manager research role.
    Strong analytical skills.
    Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to investment managers, internal staff, investment consultants, and third-party vendors.
    Ability to conduct independent research and develop well thought-out

    conclusions/recommendations.
    Thorough understanding of various investment vehicles, strategies, and terminology.
    Understanding of quantitative evaluation methods and statistical measures necessary for thorough investment analysis and performance measurement.
    Understanding of investment philosophies and processes.
    Must have complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
