Our Crypto team in the Assured Solutions Engineering directorate creates advanced embedded cryptographic capabilities for U.S. military communications products. We collaborate with the N.S.A. to ensure the security of our military communications. Working alongside hardware, FPGA, and software teams, we embed our technology into various products.

We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As an engineer, you will be involved in designing, developing, integrating, and verifying embedded encryption algorithms.

Primary Responsibilities:

Software development and integration on a multi-threaded embedded C++ product software code base

Support the design and development of embedded cryptographic solutions and communication products

Support project team activities related to requirements specification, software implementation, test case development, verification test execution, and certification support

Mentor software developers in technical and process-related areas

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR

Advanced Degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience OR

In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance

Desire to work successfully in a team environment and establish collaborative relationships with coworkers

Demonstrated experience in integrating system hardware and software components

Preferred Qualifications:

Crypto system requirements capture and design formulation

Exposure to crypto algorithms and their implementation

Verification and validation of crypto system functional and security requirements

Development of software-based tools to support crypto system development, integration, and verification

Development of artifacts to support certification of crypto system and components

Experience with Information Assurance and/or Cybersecurity industry standards

Experience as a technical or project lead ensuring successful project execution

Candidates must have excellent communication skills to convey technical issues to internal and external customers

Adaptable to change, determined to accomplish tasks on schedule, collaborate with teammates, enjoy learning new technologies, be self-motivated, and foster a positive work environment

Ideal candidates will have experience with software development using a high-level programming language as well as hardware-software integration in real-time embedded systems
