    Job Summary

    The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Clinical Coordinator on the Gainesville campus. This position coordinates all aspects of clinical components with classroom or clinic teaching, as appropriate.

    Responsibilities


    • Identifies, recruits, and tours new clinical/ practicum agency student placement sites in conjunction with department coordinators.
    • Maintains a list of the approved adjunct clinical faculty and preceptors by clinical specialty. Search committee for hire of PT faculty.
    • Identifies and interacts with clinical agencies to schedule student clinical groups or individual senior clinical practicum preceptor rotations for undergraduate nursing courses.
    • Attends required meetings at clinical affiliation agencies, community professional meetings, and recruitment job fairs.
    • Serves as the department's expert for various credentialing systems.
    • Coordinates with course faculty to assess clinical scheduling and faculty needs each semester.
    • Collaborates with credentialing specialist to assist with clinical clearance records on students and clinical faculty and submits them to clinical agencies, including CPR verification, health clearance, background checks, resumes, fit mask testing, and clinical training modules that may be required
    • Oversees the distribution of the student and clinical agency evaluation forms, collaborates with course faculty to evaluate clinical site effectiveness in meeting the learner¿s needs, and supports faculty development by assessing and constructing educational resources for successful clinical teaching.
    • Coordinates Clinical Faculty Orientation to ensure proper introduction to resources that promote clinical teaching.

    Required Qualifications


    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    • Three years of nursing experience as an RN
    • Must have unencumbered nursing license in Georgia by the time of hire.
    Proposed Salary


    Minimum Starting Salary:
    $73,155
