Job Title :
Software Development Engineer in Test

Skill Set :
Quality Assurance, Programming, Software Development, Automation Testing, Manual Testing

Education :
a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Information Systems or a closely related field

Specific Job Responsibilities :
Review all the changes made by the SaaS vendors regarding the software since the last update and modify the test plan accordingly to suit the testing needs of the present release
Review and create test plans for the new releases and get them approved across teams involved as stakeholders
Map dependencies of the test plan and provide risk-analysis of the project from the testing perspective
Analyze the needs of the core team and/or business partners being served based onsystem/application, identify workflows and document modules to be tested, and develop the testing phase
Develop, maintain, and record test cases,and import them into the Test Management repository
Create and maintain test data as required to support test executions and test cases
Develop a test automation framework which supports flexibility and maintainability whilst helping in intense testing of the System Under Test
Adapt repeatable processes, standards and tools resulting in transparency to the organization
Ensure proper defect handling and triage, precisely identity and report issues that affect the release under test and/or the stability of production environments and propose/implement necessary changes as part of defect resolution
Create and provide direction to other test engineers and MTS lead(s) in the creation of test suites and related test repository artifacts
Provide test automation Design oversight and direction including creation of scripts, suites and environment selections and setups
Develop as an SME, and technical liaison to test automation tool vendors
Test Management implementation across Portfolios and projects, including guidance for creation of test plans, test suites, and defect management to ensure that Quality Assurance is supported
Assist the team in the development and creation of test automation scenarios, and perform identification of potential test candidates and automation scripts
