    Description

    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Android Engineer to oversee the development and maintenance of our Android applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership abilities, and experience managing a team of engineers. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant applications.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Lead and mentor a team of Android engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support.

    Architect, design, and implement Android applications from the ground up, ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness.

    Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver exceptional user experiences.

    Conduct code reviews, ensure code quality, and implement best practices for software development.

    Drive continuous improvement in the development process, tools, and methodologies.

    Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing support for the team as needed.

    Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile development.

    Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.

    Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.



    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

    5+ years of experience in Android development, with a strong portfolio of released applications on the Google Play Store.

    Proven experience leading and managing a team of software engineers.

    Proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with a deep understanding of Android SDK and frameworks.

    Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.

    Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and integrating with backend services.

    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

    Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

    Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).

    Preferred

    Qualifications:
    Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

    Experience with unit testing, automated testing frameworks, and continuous integration.

    Knowledge of additional mobile platforms (iOS) or cross-platform development (Flutter, React Native).

    Familiarity with cloud services and mobile backend as a service (MBaaS).
