    Radiology Support performs a variety of clerical functions to maintain smooth operation of the Radiology clerical and film/ Image file areas.

    Prior work experience in a Radiology Department or Health Care field preferred. · Effective Communication Skills · Computer competency required. · Knowledge of medical terminology preferred with the ability to grasp detailed procedures and technical language. · Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision


    Supports patient care in imaging services, ensures an environment of patient safety, supports evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism within established Radiology and Imaging National standards.


    • Responsible for entering on-line orders in the computer system (Radiology Information System-RIS) and accountable for tracking/validation of Radiology report completion.
    • Performs all film file room and clerical support functions associated with the release of imaging studies to physician offices and other facilities for continuity of care. Attends in-service programs and departments meetings.
