    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Sr. Cost Analyst will analyze costs incurred during the manufacturing process. This includes material costs incurred as well as resources consumed. The Senior Cost Analyst is also responsible for breaking down cost summaries into simpler parts. This analysis includes comparing standards to actual cost and determining how well the manufacturing process absorbs variable and fixed overhead. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is necessary to ensure success.

    The Sr. Cost Analyst position will be responsible for the below-listed responsibilities for the Brooklyn Park, MN facility, but divisional support will be required during high-priority or peak volume periods.

    ***THIS ROLE IS HYBRID***

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Support the month-end closing process, including preparation of necessary closing journal entries and inventory balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Support the divisional transition of transactional cost accountant duties to the Biomerics' Business Service Center ("BSC")
    • Provide support for accurate standard costing and ensure corporate costing guidelines are followed:
    1. Annual cost build management and analysis.
    2. Prepares and/or reviews BOMs and routes; this may include loading new products into the ERP system.
    3. Formal communication of rates for costing / quoting.
    • Variance and absorption analysis.
    • Scrap, rework, and other costs of quality reporting.
    • Budget and forecast support:
    1. Annual Budget.
    2. Re-forecasts (quarterly or semi-annually).
    • Inventory management support:
    1. E&O reserve analysis.
    2. Track and understand variations in inventory levels.
    3. Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
    4. Work with the manufacturing group to locate and dispose of obsolete inventory.
    5. Inventory carrying cost analysis.
    6. Analyze all data in the inventory control process and recommend necessary changes.
    • Preparation and support for internal management reporting, including but not limited to:
    1. Operational KPI reporting.
    2. Cost estimates and trends.
    3. PPV reporting.
    • Other Ad hoc support.
    Requirements
    • Three to five (3-5) years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in Medical Devices.
    • Ability to understand complex manufacturing processes.
    • Highly skilled in analytics and proficient with Advanced Excel functions.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time effectively.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong demonstrated commitment to teamwork.
