    Position Overview:

    • The Mission of Sanofi's MSL Team and the Medical Science Liaison is to be the trusted scientific partners in the field for external experts and decision-makers engaging in mutual scientific exchanges to accelerate data dissemination.
    • Sanofi's Medical Field base teams enhance the understanding of the scientific and medical value of our products in the therapeutic area and gather new insights by bringing cutting edge scientific exchange today that accelerates medical innovation tomorrow.

    Territory includes North Texas; Dallas, Fort Worth, Oklahoma


    Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is field-facing role with main objectives to:
    • Be the trusted scientific partner to key external experts by conducting timely, appropriate, and frequent scientific exchanges to enhance the understanding of the scientific and medical value of our products.
    • Execute on stakeholder engagement plans, gather data, develop and share medical insights contributing to Sanofi's key medical messages, plans, and future research.
    • Keep updated on medical and scientific developments to help identify and assess research opportunities, playing a role in the execution of evidence generation plans.
    • Recognize, record, and share insights deepening understanding of needs of patients, regulators, payers, and healthcare providers.
    • Maintain effective communication among internal stakeholders while complying with relevant requirements.
    • Demonstrate understanding of governance processes and risk management.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Engage external stakeholders on medical and scientific information exchange for the therapeutic area, in one-on-one and group settings.
    • Establish long-term peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
    • Engage stakeholders on medical, clinical, epidemiologic, and scientific topics.
    • Understand healthcare policies and guidelines.
    • Profile and prioritize stakeholders per medical plan.
    • Utilize the Scientific Engagement Model for territory planning and stakeholder interactions.
    • Organize educational meetings and advisory boards.
    • Support speakers training and respond to medical information requests.

    2. Gathers data and generates insights from stakeholder interactions and provides feedback to the organization.
    • Collect feedback from multiple sources.
    • Evaluate information to develop key insights, contributing to Sanofi's messages and strategies.
    • Stay informed of emerging evidence in the disease area.

    3. Collaborates effectively with internal stakeholders.
    • Distribute scientific and medical information and external insights to internal stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with various departments to support product positioning, compliance, and diligence reviews.
    • Contribute to material creation for internal and external stakeholders.

    4. Supports evidence-generation activities by aiding in data acquisition and identifying opportunities for further data collection.
    • Monitors disease epidemiology and provides support for various studies.
    • Identifies data collection opportunities and suggests clinical trial sites.
    • Supports investigator-sponsored studies submissions.

    Context of the Job/Major Challenges:
    • Operate independently and navigate regulatory environments.
    • Significant national and international travel may be required.
    • Effectively manage KOL relationships within regulatory boundaries.

    Scope of Role / Outputs:
    • Manage a base of 50 stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain stakeholder engagement tracking database.
    • Plan interactions in alignment with Medical Affairs strategy.
    • Execute on defined KOL territory strategy.
    • Develop territory engagement plans supporting the medical strategy.
    • Utilize scientific data during KOL interactions.

    Basic Qualifications:
    • Advanced degree in technical, scientific, or medical field preferred.
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
    • Previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.

    Experience:
    • Demonstrated ability in medical practice, clinical decision making, and research.
    • Proficiency in research study design and execution.
    • Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams and managing projects.

    Skills/Knowledge:
    • Proficient in professional communications and relationship building.
    • Effective planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
    • Strong leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.
    • Deep knowledge of local regulations and codes of practice for the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Scientific expertise and knowledge of healthcare systems.

    The salary range for this position is $140, $187,000.00 Annually. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
