- Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
- Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
- Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.
- Engage, equip, and empower coaches and athletes by ministering through 1-on-1s, Huddles and Events.
- Train and equip staff and volunteers to empower coaches and athletes to be disciples who make disciples in the Sports Environments.
- Oversee recruiting, training and developing effective and diverse volunteers who lead everycoach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
- Recruit: Actively attract and recruit highly qualified volunteers to the Sports Environments.
- Train: Provide tools, resources and training to develop volunteers' skills and increasetheir capacity and competence to effectively execute their responsibilities.
- Develop: Prepare volunteers in their roles and responsibilities by helping them growspiritually and personally.
- Invite, involve, and invest in an Advisory Team that is committed to pray, serve, and give.
- Connect, communicate, and care for existing and prospective financial partners to get fully funded.
- Manage and steward the finances for the assigned area of responsibility.
- Establish and execute an annual budget and funding plan by growing the Home Team, majordonors, and events.

In the FCA Sports Environments, the Representative ensures there is a consistent approach to discipleshipmaking disciples who make disciples. The Representative is accountable for ensuring that the FCA ministry is conducted according to biblical standards and adheres to FCA policies and procedures.
MINISTERIAL DUTIES
These responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission and this position plays a vital role in our ministry. FCA expects all functions and responsibilities outlined below to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.
The Maryland Boys Lacrosse Club Coaches Ministry Director is a key leadership position within the FCA Lacrosse Ministry, entrusted with nurturing the spiritual and professional growth of the 45 club lacrosse coaches within our organization. Through ministry programs, mentoring, and discipleship, the Ministry Director will foster a Christ-centered culture that aligns with FCA's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular Bible studies, prayer meetings, and faith-based discussions to foster a supportive Christian community among the coaches.
- Provide pastoral care, counseling, and spiritual guidance to coaches as needed.
- Support the coordination of faith-based events and activities for players and families in collaboration with other FCA staff and volunteers.
- Act as a resource and support for team captains, coaches, and other ministry leaders within the club, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to effectively minister to players and families.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages player and family participation in ministry activities.
- Represent the FCA Lacrosse Ministry in a supportive role at family/player-oriented events, promoting the ministry's vision and engaging with the community.
- Collaborate with the Regional Ministry Director and other FCA staff to assess the effectiveness of the family/player ministry initiatives and suggest improvements to better meet the spiritual needs of the lacrosse community.
- Organize and facilitate coaching clinics, workshops, and other training events in collaboration with FCA staff and external partners.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of ministry activities, coach participation, and program outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with FCA policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in theology, ministry, or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in ministry, coaching, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of lacrosse and the ability to relate well with coaches.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ and agreement with FCA's Statement of Faith.
