JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for dispensing and compounding medication, counseling patients on medication and health subjects; interpreting prescriptions, managing patient drug therapy for complications, and performing drug utilization.
Float Pharmacist Job Description
o A float pharmacist works inpatient, outpatient, and in our freestanding emergency departments performing clinical and operational duties. In this role, the pharmacist will have a variety of responsibilities dependent on the care site working.
o Float pharmacists are required to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends and are encouraged to work holidays.
o Members of our float team manage their own schedules based on the needs of the system by working directly with schedulers.
While the position is posted from our corporate office, the position rotates to various facilities in central Ohio and within the region.
o Licensed and registered pharmacist in the state of Ohio.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Required)OPL - Ohio Pharmacists License - Ohio Board of PharmacyOhio Board of Pharmacy
BS or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution and a current Ohio pharmacist license. Completion of a Pharmacy Practice residency or equivalent hospital Experience . Pharmacology/Therapeutics for all age groups. Aseptic Technique and drug literature review. Previous hospital pharmacy Experience .
